Hello members of DVDC!
I had a lovely chat with Hector and I told him I would post some links and a basic rundown of why I think BOZO might be a good fit for you all.
Pew pew and rofls are at the top of your list, so it would be a good idea for you all to listen to our BOZOKast because it will give you a fairly good idea of what sort of sense of humor our group has. By the way, smack is not only allowed but encouraged in BOZO.
As for The PvP, that is the entire purpose behind our organization. All decisions are made based on what will bring the most PvP to the most BOZOs. By the way, we formed out of merged corporations, so we know that it is not an easy decision to leave behind a name and all the work that went into making a corp what it is. Our previous organizations had dipped our toes into many other aspects of EVE, but we liked PvP the best, so instead of trying to remold old forms we simple started from scratch and made a corp in the image of awesome pvp above all else. The BOZOKast touches on some great PvP stories, but our Killboard will show you more of what we do every day.
When considering us as one of your options keep in mind that we will never babysit carebears, feed POSs, or go after owning space. All of those things are boring and there are plenty of other organizations you can join if that is what you want to do.
As for the rest of things listed:
US TZ - check!
Minimal BS - The only thing we take seriously about EVE is PvP, so what guidelines we have are things like "stfu when battle coms are needed." We don't play EVE for politics and don't even bother setting people red because that might give off the impression that neutrals shouldn't be as enthusiastically shot at. We presently have one blue, which is a lot for us.
Mature, RL first - Mature is in the eye of the beholder, but no one can deny that we are a bunch of old farts who have actual lives with spouses, jobs, and maybe even kids. This is a game. Stuff happens. Our members are here because they love to pvp. If you PvP with a vengeance when you are here we're not going to yell at you for having a life away from us.
Small to med gang pvp - check! That's what we do.
Isk opportunities - We don't play the style of pvp that calls for running away if outnumbered, so in BOZO you will definitely lose ships. We fight outnumbered a lot because we know we can win without a 2 to 1 or 3 to 1 advantage. To balance this inevitable ship loss we try to make sure our members have ways of replacing those ships. The main way is through our insurance program, but we also make sure there are isk making opportunities where we live. We live in NPC 0.0, by the way, so there are many lucrative options to take advantage of in between our multi-daily pvp gangs.
So to wrap things up:
All the fun of 0.0 PVP without any of the hassles plus zero drama and plentiful targets. All this and a suburbly organized corp that seems to run as if by magic. Our logistics will ensure you never have to die trying to run a gate camp to get your ships out and our forum and wiki will keep you so informed you'll know what you need to know before you even think to wonder about it.
Here is our EVE-O recruitment post. It has a link to our wiki with our reqs and application process, but if you give us the honor of considering us there will be some group rate specials going on in that department so the process will be a bit different than usual, I think. If you decide to consider us we will hold a big run down followed by question and answer period on our vent before you make any final decisions, but feel free to evemail or convo me with any questions you might have as you are considering all of your options.
